FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
THE KING RETURNS — AND HE'S OUT TO ACHIEVE WORLD PEACE
Tyler Walker to Race in the 42nd Annual Kings Royal in the Bitcoin "Puppets Powered" #69 Sprint Car.

July 2025 – Eldora Speedway, Rossburg, OH — Buckle up for one of the greatest spectacles in motorsports, held at one of racing's most iconic venues. The 42nd Annual Kings Royal will once again welcome King Tyler the XXVIII 👑Walker, the 2011 Kings Royal champion.

Walker will pilot the Puppets-Powered #69 sprint car, sponsored by the Bitcoin Puppets, in a four-day showdown at Tony Stewart's legendary Eldora Speedway, taking place July 16–19 in Rossburg, Ohio.

Who is Tyler Walker?
Tyler Walker is an American race car driver whose life has traced one of the most dramatic arcs in modern motorsports—rising from karting prodigy to sprint car champion, falling into addiction and homelessness on Skid Row, and now clawing his way back to the racetrack.

Early Promise
Born July 15, 1979, in Los Angeles, California, Walker was a natural behind the wheel. He started racing motorcycles and BMX bikes as a child before moving into go-karts, where he won over 200 races and four California state karting championships. His driving talent fast-tracked him to stardom in USAC and the World of Outlaws, where he earned a reputation as one of the most electric sprint car drivers of his generation.

NASCAR and the Fall
Walker also competed in NASCAR, running in the Busch and Craftsman Truck Series. A fourth-generation NASCAR driver, he was on the verge of broader stardom when everything began to fall apart. In 2007, NASCAR banned him indefinitely for violating its substance abuse policy—a decision that exposed a deeper personal battle with drugs and alcohol.

Crowning Achievement: Kings Royal Win
After returning back to Sprint Cars, during the 2011 season, Walker won the Kings Royal at Eldora Speedway, one of the most prestigious events in sprint car racing. The $50,000 payday was the pinnacle of his career, a moment of triumph that etched his name alongside the legends of the sprint car world.
High-Speed Police Chase

In 2013, Walker's life hit the national spotlight again—but not for racing. He led police on a wild, multi-state high-speed chase through Nevada and Utah, hitting speeds of 140 mph. He was arrested, charged with multiple felonies, and later served time behind bars.
Skid Row: Rock Bottom
After his release, Walker disappeared completely. He ended up homeless on the streets of Los Angeles, living on Skid Row. Once a NASCAR driver & Kings Royal champion, Walker was now sleeping on sidewalks, battling addiction, and fighting for survival. Friends and fans feared the worst, believing the racing world had lost him for good.

Comeback & Redemption
But against the odds, Walker began to rebuild his life. After years of absence, he quietly returned to the track in 2025, running the full Pennsylvania Speedweek sprint car circuit in the Rutherford Motorsports Car #19.
